SQUAD REPS: Each squad has a representative(s), they are here to help you with any queries you have, and will be at Poolside so you can sign your swimmers up for swim meets. For more information on signing up for meets click here.
SQUAD INFORMATION EVENINGS (Transition, Skills, Graded and Comp 1): The Squad Information Evenings are short meetings with the Head Coach to explain the year year ahead for each Squad.
- :Transition and Skils 1&2 have a yearly written report.
- Skills 3 and Comp 1 – Parents/swimmer have a yearly meeting with the Squad Lead Coach.
- Comp 2,3 and Graded – Parents (where swimmer under 16)/swimmer have yearly meeting with the Squad Lead Coach. Where swimmer over 16 parents can be present with consent of the swimmer.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS: We hold monthly committee meetings to discuss club business.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS: Volunteering as a technical official is very rewarding, you have the knowledge that you are helping your club and ultimately benefiting your child, the swimmer. The amount of hours you give to the club is entirely individual, we are aware that people have many commitments. You are always appreciated by the club and swimmers alike.
TEAM MANAGERS: Team Managers are responsible for organising the team for both local competitions and trips that require swimmers to stay over as a team.
POOLSIDE HELPERS: It is always a huge help to our coaches if they have support on the poolside. Helpers can assist coaches with the putting in and out of the lane ropes and flags. Help swimmers with goggles and water bottles. Tidying up after a session has finished by ensuring the poolside is kept tidy and all equipment has been put away. Putting on the block covers and assist in covering the pools with the pool covers.
FUNDRAISING: The more people that join in the more we raise which benefits all our swimmers. Fundraising takes place on a regular basis and varies from bag packs, football cards, sponsored silence and onesie fun run and race nights. Our fundraising has allowed us to purchase 5 new swimming blocks that our swimmers benefit from at every training session. Master Classes for the Skills Squads and Long Course Training for the Competition Squads at Stirling University.
COMMITTEE: Currently we have 13 positions. Current committee roles are: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Child Protection Officer, Meet Secretary, Kit Convenor, Press Officer, Trophy Convenor, Technical Official, and two non-role member. To join the committee there has to be an available space.
